For a first cologne, sample CK One if you like a citrus/green-tea direction, Dylan Blue if you want an aquatic-citrus fragrance with spice, or original Cloud if sweet coconut and praline sound better. You do not need a large bottle, several fragrances or a luxury price to start.
Check school, club and household fragrance rules first. If a setting is fragrance-free, the right choice there is no fragrance. Cologne also does not replace washing or an appropriate deodorant.

CK One: start with the fresh direction
Calvin Klein describes CK One as a shared fragrance with a green-tea signature. Its listed opening includes bergamot, cardamom, pineapple and papaya. Start here if that sounds more appealing than a sweet gourmand.
Try the scent before making volume the deciding factor. The biggest bottle is not the best first purchase if you have not yet worked out whether you want to wear it.
Dylan Blue: check Pour Homme and the size
Versace’s Dylan Blue Pour Homme EDT lists aquatic notes, bergamot and grapefruit, with pepper, woods and a musky base. It is a separate choice from the floral Dylan Blue Pour Femme.
The linked offer is the 3.4 oz EDT identity. That is a full-size commitment, so sample locally or through an appropriate small format before buying it as an unfamiliar gift.
Cloud: when sweeter is what you want
Ariana Grande’s original Cloud combines a lavender-and-pear opening with coconut, praline and vanilla orchid. Someone who enjoys those notes does not need to reject it because it is marketed differently from a men’s cologne.
Check original Cloud on the label. Cloud Pink, body mist and other versions should not be substituted without comparing them.
Make the first bottle a small decision
Set an all-in budget with whoever is paying. Try one fragrance at a time, follow its directions, and judge whether you still like it after the opening. Do not keep adding sprays just because your own nose stops noticing it. Avoid spraying other people, shared desks or school clothing without permission.
Match the exact name, concentration and volume at checkout. Body spray and EDT are different products; a bargain result with the same brand name is not automatically the fragrance reviewed here. Read seller and return terms, especially for opened perfume.
