An oil label and an EDP label do not establish a universal winner. Oil refers to formulation; eau de parfum is a concentration descriptor. Application type, bottle size and the scent itself still need checking.
This page uses two identified products rather than assigning every oil a quiet radius and every EDP a broad trail. They are different compositions, so the comparison cannot isolate the effect of carrier alone.
The two existing buying examples
| Product | Documented distinction | Purchase variation used here |
|---|---|---|
| Kuumba Made Persian Garden | Oil formula with a floral/amber/wood/musk note description | 0.5 fl oz fragrance oil |
| Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume | Fragrance concept centred on Cetalox | 100 ml EDP |
Kuumba Made’s reference lists jojoba oil, safflower oil and fragrance and provides roller application directions for the 0.5 oz size. Its note description includes jasmine, ylang-ylang, amber, lilac, sandalwood and musk.
Juliette Has a Gun’s reference describes original Not a Perfume through Cetalox. That scent concept does not mean the finished liquid literally contains only one ingredient, nor does maker sensitivity positioning guarantee a reaction-free experience.
Scent choice comes before a format ranking
Investigate Persian Garden if that maker-described floral and amber direction interests you. Investigate original Not a Perfume if its Cetalox concept interests you. Neither is automatically a substitute for the other.
The selected bottles also differ substantially in volume. A smaller Persian Garden bottle being easier to carry than a 100 ml EDP would establish a package difference, not that every oil is more portable than every spray. Not a Perfume exists in other sizes; check the actual version offered.
What to assess personally
Try each appropriate product as directed, separately. Record which opening and later scent you enjoy, whether the application feels comfortable, and whether the duration answers your routine. We have not conducted a controlled performance comparison for this page.
Neither format earns an automatic office recommendation. A perfume oil remains fragrance under a fragrance-free rule, and an EDP need not be selected for public impact. Follow the setting’s rules and consider the actual product’s presence.
Layering is optional. Oil wording does not guarantee compatibility with lotion or another perfume, and EDP wording does not mean a fragrance must stand alone.
