Original Lattafa Khamrah is a sampling candidate for someone drawn to cinnamon, dates, praline and vanilla in a fragrance description. The central buying question is whether you want that original direction, the coffee note in Qahwa or the smoke/tobacco emphasis in Dukhan.

This review compares Lattafa’s published compositions. We have not measured duration or projection and do not claim that one version is automatically better for winter, dates or shared offices. The name on the box matters more than a generic promise of “richness.”

Where the three compositions separate

Version Selected notes published by Lattafa Most useful reason to sample it
Original Khamrah Bergamot, cinnamon and nutmeg; dates and praline; vanilla, tonka and resinous/woody notes You specifically want to explore the dates-and-spice gourmand idea
Khamrah Qahwa Ginger, cinnamon and cardamom; praline and candied fruit; coffee, vanilla, tonka, benzoin and musk Coffee is part of the direction you want to investigate
Khamrah Dukhan Mandarin, pimento and smoked spices; incense and patchouli; tobacco, amber, tonka, benzoin and praline Smoke and tobacco interest you alongside the sweet elements

All three descriptions retain some sweet-associated notes. Qahwa’s coffee does not prove that it is dry or unsweetened; Dukhan’s smoke does not prove the absence of sweetness. Conversely, a listed note does not tell us how dominant it will seem to you. That is why a comparison should ask about balance, not just tick ingredients off a list.

Choosing within the family

If you already enjoy original Khamrah, identify the change you want before adding a second bottle. Qahwa is a coherent comparison when you want coffee in the published structure; Dukhan is the more relevant comparison when you want smoky and tobacco facets. Buying all three solely because the bottles belong together is a collection preference, not a demonstrated improvement in value.

If you are new to the family, original Khamrah provides the dates/praline reference described above. Try it because that profile interests you, not because reviews promise a fixed number of compliments. A sample that smells appealing at first can still be a poor full-bottle choice if you do not enjoy the later scent or rarely want to wear it.

Claims this evidence cannot settle

We cannot derive a spray count, an hour count or a climate restriction from Lattafa’s note lists. We also have not conducted a controlled comparison against a luxury fragrance, so this review does not call Khamrah an identical replacement or a performance winner at a fraction of the price.

Compare a sample with the bottle you already own if substitution is your goal. Record the exact versions and the differences you actually notice. Shared cinnamon, vanilla or amber language cannot establish identical formulations.

Buying the original deliberately

Search Amazon for original Lattafa Khamrah . Check that the selected result is the original if that is what you want; Qahwa and Dukhan are different purchases. Lattafa’s cited original page lists 100 ml. Verify the actual offer’s volume, seller, condition and return terms rather than assuming every result matches it.

For value, compare delivered cost after matching the version. A cheaper offer for a different Khamrah does not save money on the original you intended to buy. A larger collection is not automatically more useful either: decide whether the extra coffee or smoky direction would receive use.

Assessment: original Khamrah has a specific place on a dates, spice and praline shortlist. Qahwa and Dukhan offer documented changes worth comparing, not an automatic ladder of quality or strength. Preference between those structures is the decision to resolve before buying.
