Armani’s Oud Royal page lists oud wood, guaiac wood and saffron, and describes myrrh and incense facets. This is the first sample for the buyer who wants that spiced-resin direction. Its premium positioning is a reason to check your preference before committing, not proof of better wear.
Tom Ford Oud Wood: a mixed-wood composition
Tom Ford describes Oud Wood EDP with rosewood and cardamom leading into oud notes, sandalwood and vetiver. Sample it when the broader woody composition appeals. That description does not establish a measured quantity of natural oud oil, and the bottle price cannot establish it either.

OUD satin mood: rose, violet and vanilla-amber
Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s EDP description places oud beside Damascena rose, violet and an amber-vanilla accord. Choose this direction because you want those floral and sweet elements. It is a poor blind buy for someone seeking austere wood alone.
The Extrait de Parfum is a separate version. A cheaper listing might also be a refill, hair perfume or small travel format; compare the actual item, not just the collection name.
Buy the fragrance, not the oud label
Treat note lists as descriptions of the finished scent, not audited ingredient percentages. If natural oud sourcing is essential to your decision, ask the brand about the exact product rather than inferring it from a name.
Sample on separate days before choosing size. Record which composition you still want to wear after the opening and whether it fits your normal setting. A small bottle you use is better value than a large bottle bought to win a price-per-milliliter comparison.
